Waiting for his guest to arrive, Lucifer walked out to the surf, letting the waves crash against his legs. Unlike the beach Wilson had taken him to before, this one was completely devoid of any human interference. He rather liked it that way ( Read more... )

After saying goodbye to Marie and having some quiet time with Aziraphale, Wilson was a bit surprised to receive a voicemail from the Lightbringer. Surprised but as ever, quite pleased, particularly with the invitation.

Changing into shorts and an old dress shirt, the mortal tried to look nonchalant as he made his way through the Nest and down into the cellar. Even though he'd been through the portal a couple of times now, he still paused and took a long moment to gaze upon it, attempting to wrap his brain around it's reality.

Shaking his head at himself, Wilson walked forward and through the portal, closing his eyes even though the change between creations always seemed immediate to him. Taking a deep breath of the fresh air that signaled Lucifer's universe, Wilson opened his eyes and began to make his way down the path towards the pristine beach.

He might have been mentally humming as he walked along.

Guess the crabs wouldn't be the sort that could ultimately be steamed, would then?

Coming to the edge of the sand, Wilson kicked off his shoes and headed barefoot down towards the Lightbringer. He took his time, enjoying the feel of the sand under his feet and pausing now and then to just look around.

Sometimes he tried to pick out the subtle differences, most of the time he simply enjoyed the serenity of this place and thus was loath to break it as he came up beside the angel.

"James," Lucifer said, a small nod toward Wilson as he looked out at the horizon with a small faint smile on his lips.
