the boy's got a bit of gravel in his voice, maybe it's just the recording quality
i think in the sophistication of disco and jazz, we lost touch with the grassroots
back then it was the same as what is happening now, power vs labour
good old folk singing truth to life

I do like the older style of folk music, the rougher voice such as Tom's. I prefer that to that of Peggy Seeger and Ewan McColl.
