your kitty is trying to tell you something. either:
a) she is mad at you (because of dave being around, the new litter, or her litter isn't cleaned often enough)
b) she is sick and trying to let you know

i usually vote option b though, especially if you've never had that problem beforehand. give her a little once over and see if she is feeling ok. good luck!!

Your kitty might have a UTI which is something you REALLY should check out if it continues.
She may also be lonely...and be acting out. It depends on how much you're home.
and it just might well be the litter. Cats hate change hahaha

Well see, the thing is, I'm not home a ton, but I'm home enough, and the amount of time that I'm home has been pretty consistent since I first got her. Except for the week I went to Toronto, but during that week, Dave was here a lot and she didn't pee for the first time until I had been home for two weeks already.

I'm really hoping it's just the litter. My boss told me about this good litter at this fancy pet store in town, so I'm going to try that stuff and see if she likes it better. If she's still peeing after I have that litter for a week or so, I'm going to take her to the vet.

cat piss doesn't come out of comforter....:( i had to throw out my expensive one - and i'll advise you stat, you'd better change the litter back and make sure you didn't start using a different laundry detergent/fabric softener because the cat won't stop pissing. they do it naturally on certain smells (especially anything lavender)........my kittens are bad girls.
