"Hawkes, can I have a favor?" asked Truly, running her hand over her stomach nervously. Sheldon frowned at her, she looked slightly green, and in Truly’s case that was never good.
"Sure, Tru, what’s up?"
"I need a pregnancy test," Well that he wasn’t expecting.
"Seriously?" asked Sheldon, frowning at her and looking around. "Who the hell have you-oh," Sheldon stopped, his face growing serious as he realized what she who she was talking about. "Oh, shit, Truly."
"Say nothing," Truly warned him, sitting down on the floor and wrapping her arms around her middle, staring down at her feet. Her head shot up suddenly, taking Sheldon by surprise. "Especially not to Flack."
"You might not be pregnant," said Sheldon, walking over to Truly and sitting down next to her. "Could just be the flu."
"You miss your period and start crying uncontrollably over the time when you get the flu?" Sheldon tilted his head to the side and opened his mouth the say something, but thought better of it.
"I’ll be back in an hour."
"Thank you."
.
"Don? It’s Truly, I um...never mind. Actually, you know what? I think I should say this. I’ve missed you, a lot, and what happened between us, I hope it has something to do with the fact that we are pretty screwed up around each other. I’ve gotten bad news from Hawkes and never had the urge to jump him, maybe it’s just a you-and-me thing . I don’t know why I’m even calling you anymore, I shouldn’t- defiantly shouldn’t do it over the phone. I’m guessing Stella’s still telling you all about me against your will, which isn’t a good thing, I’ve told her to stop. Well, I should go before everyone here realizes that I’m not calling for pizza. Bye."
"Is she high or something?" asked Sheldon, placing Don’s phone down in-between them and giving him a look.
"I was hoping you could tell me," muttered Don, giving Sheldon a shrug.
"Not that I know of, she’s been a bit off lately though."
"You know something," said Don suddenly, his eyes narrowing as he looked closely at Sheldon. "What is it?"
"If I told you it was a secret you would...?"
"Beat it out of you."
"I still can’t tell you," said Sheldon nervously, looking down at his feet. Don groaned and leaned back in his chair, shaking his head in annoyance.
"Just when I thought she was normal."
"Truly isn’t normal. She’s crazy."
"What’s going on with her, man?" asked Don. Sheldon shrugged and bit his lip to keep from spilling Truly’s secret.
"It would spoil the big surprise," he said softly. "Trust me, you don’t want me to spoil it."
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It’s time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
