It was no problem at all, betaing this. I really, really enjoyed it. Your descriptions are so picturesque, eerie and beautiful, especially of the city, but the entire story had that quality as well. It wasn't bombastic and overly violent or gory, but subtly scary, the way the best horror stories are.
I adored Gabriel and Adam's relationship. They were wary of one another throughout, which made sense more than immediate friendship. They've both been stung before. And yet, you highlighted what similarities they share. Last but least, you included the villain who is still among my favorites, despite Supernatural getting into it's 8th season. Azazel is brilliant and cruel, funny and capricious, even a bit charming.
Thank you so much for participating in this challenge. It's been a pleasure working with you. ♥
I really enjoyed writing this, and I'm so glad you liked it. Truthfully, I was kind of scared--I'd never really written any of these characters before, and it all felt like one big experiment.
I am glad I clicked around and found it. It is all the things I love in atmospheric tales. It felt like part dark fantasy/part classic horror.
I saw everything in this grimy warped filter that made everything Punch. Like PUNCH.
I could say a million things about this and come back to the same meaning, which is: There's something foreboding yet also hopeful about this story you've crafted. It's rich in detail, but not overly so in such a way to take the reader's imagination away from them. It hurt and brought the emotional impact.
and the ending. So well put together. It flows so naturally and vividly.
