Dear Diary

I snapped the picture of this mound when we were driving past today. Don’t worry I wasn’t the driver. The funny thing about this is I jokingly told my mother it could be a burial mound. Then she told her sister, she thought it might be a burial mound. Then her sister told more people about the burial mound. Even if there are burial mounds in the ( Read more... )

Haha, she is close to 5ft.

My moms SUV is pretty big so the mound looks smaller when a picture is taken from it, its about 10 feet high, though it looks like a little pile of dirt in the picture. lol

Haha! I made it too easy for her to get out of, I'll have to figure something else out. :)

Mr. Kravitz occasionally has questionable behavior, is known to drink too much and get high on drugs, but hey, he puts in a good ceiling fan!

LOL! Glad that went well.

Aw your daughter is lovely! I have no advice about how to get a child to stay buckled up. I'd worry if she wasn't buckled up, and I'd worry if she was restrained in a way that'd prevent her from getting out fast if there's an emergency like a bad crash. I hope you find a solution!

Haha, Brandon might have a point!

That's exactly what I am trying to go for, a way to keep her in the safe, but an easy way out in case of emergency. I saw these key locked covers that go over the buckle online, all I can think of is how dangerous that would be in an accident, what if the person with the key is unconscious, or the key gets lost in the accident, or there is no time to use the key, and about a thousand other reasons why not to lock a child in a seat belt with a key.

Exactly, that would be a real concern. I mean, God forbid that should happen, but you never know. Why doesn't she keep the seatbelt on when instructed to do so? Is there a reason she hates it so much?

There is nothing uncomfortable about the seat belt. I have ridden back there and everything is fine. She has no sense of danger about anything bad happening if she doesn't wear it. Explaining to her that she could get hurt, she doesn't get it. She gets bored easily with following instructions. Even if she nods that she will keep the seat belt on she takes it off not even a few minutes later. She is non-verbal that makes a lot of guess work on my part in figuring out what will and will not work to keep her in place while in a car.

That's a fructifying analogy Brandon made, between religion and porn. I'm going to have to think about it more.

Interesting about her seat belt, who knew it could be so challenging to take her places in the car, I didn't. But now I do get it. She is quite thin. I was thin like that when young.

You created a burial mound! :-D
