Oh, this is lovely. You capture the Doctor's fear and anxiety so well, it made my heart speed up. And Donna's worry and determination are superbly well shown, too. You take us into both their heads at least as firmly as the entity does in the episode! *g*

The ending is lovely, of course. Donna was always good for the Doctor. Too bad she couldn't have stayed with him.

Nitpick: “Well, that’s what mate***r***s are for, right?”

Lovely story, thank you!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :) And thank you, too, for catching that typo. I apparently was typing too fast and completely missed it.

Beautiful story - you haven't lost your touch. I don't think I've read one about Donna's feelings as she waits for his return until now.

The last few lines are utterly perfect.

Oh, I love this. It's really the heart of the Doctor-Donna friendship. You deal with his state of mind admirably; he's just been through mental rape, and of course he's going to take time recovering from that. Of course he's not going to be able to easily forgive the humans whose blindness nearly killed him.

And Donna's wonderful, blagging her way into the office and going through the records. She would! I always loved the way she didn't say a word, just wrapped her arms around him at the end of the episode. A true friend knows when words won't suffice. The ending was lovely--she takes care of him as only she can, and he lets himself be taken care of. Beautiful! I'll be reccing this.

Wow. Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thank you, too, for the rec. :) When I re-watched Midnight on my "re-visit my favourite seasons" quest, I just had to write a post-ep fic. Thanks again!
