My only concern then was Stella's baptism, scheduled at 3pm in a church infamously known for being in flood-prone Makati. We eventually postponed it to tomorrow and then cancelled it altogether. Hi Daphne, our whole house was submerged in water as we live in the heart of pasig, by a huge miracle we escaped, our van (as we drove) was submerged in water as well with smoke na filling it inside. But there are others not as blessed. My husband organized na a rescue mission addressing all the neighboring baranggays who have lost so much more. I am willing to give everything I own (clothes et al) for these people as I am so terribly grateful that all my loved ones were kept safe.

It seems like no one (including meteorologists) knew the rain was going to be so bad. I wish there had been some way that we could have been told what a bad storm it would be. While the floods really could not have been predicted, the rainfall should have been. Compared to most, we were very, very lucky with only a few feet of water on the first level.
