YOU. So this is so shamefully late I can't even begin to apologize enough, but I had to tell you, it was SUCH a pleasure to check this post and find a new comment from you each time. So much fun. Seriously, thank you SO much for your response to this. It totally made my day/week/month. i was really unsure about this fic, and to have you (ESPECIALLY someone who writes like you) be so supportive of this thing made me extremely happy. So, even if I'm several months late, thank you so much. I've never had such an enthusiastic response to a fic, and looking at all your comments still makes me embarrassingly happy. ♥

Oh, god. This is so painfully perfect. I mean, it's them, to a tee it's them. But it's also not. It's a glimpse of what they could be. And it's perfect and dysfunctional [but in a functional kinda way!!] and the angst is more bittersweet than devastation and just.

Here's a true fact for you.

I actively hate the show these days. My disappointment in it manifests almost physically and I haven't read a single fic for it in... hmmm... since before season three ended I'm pretty sure.

But yeah, like I was ever not gonna read this :)

And now? BAM!

ALL THE FEEEEEELS.

The kind of maturity that you've given them in this, the deft way you've had them grow up without losing themselves, their pasts and what they've always meant to each other? It's a kind of care that I could never trust the writers to use. THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH, BB.

Hello, I'm back, responding to ALL THE THINGS. Better late than never (I hope).

I mean, it's them, to a tee it's them. But it's also not. It's a glimpse of what they could be.

Yessss, thank you. I think part of why I was so anxious about this fic is that it really is a break of character for them. But it's not exactly out of character - well, I hope. I wanted to write a possible future for them, a version of what I think they could be headed toward someday, and I'm so so glad that came through for you, and rang true.

And it is SUCH AN HONOR that you broke your TVD fic-reading drought for me. Really, I just feel all warm and fuzzy. Thankkkkkk you, bb.
