I've been gone for two nights, so how is it that I have missed SO much? Since we've clearly established that Fandom > real life, I am quite put out by my frequent absences of late. So let's talk about what's been going on.

I am indeed aware that the torture doesn't happen for a few episodes. I'm now locked in that constant anxious state where I'm torn between not wanting the season to be over and needing to see what happens in the later episodes. I am already incredibly concerned about the upcoming summer hiatus. DNW.

I'm actually sort of avoiding spoilers in the laziest possible way. I still go to my sites where the spoilers are at least hinted at, but I don't actively seek spoilers out, if that makes any sense? I will look at anything officially released. But I pretty much knew everything that was going to happen in last year's season finale, and I'd like this year to have a few surprises. We'll see if that position holds in the coming weeks.

I am sad about Elena, and it looks like Caroline's going out in this round, but this is my first FMM, so I'm in it til the end. Which is incredibly soon, really, so it's hardly a sacrifice. I will gifspam for the both of us!

Ahhh fandom. You miss a day and the world goes insane. I missed that the TVD Paley panel was even happening and I've only seen bits on tumblr where Ian is giving Nina his jacket. I don't even need words fuck them and their cuteness. I may actually have to go next year. I think that just being in the same room as them will somehow make my life a better place. And I'm staying at your place

I may return to be more coherent about this later but I am FLAPPING SO HARD! How do these people EVEN EXIST?! I watched the first 30 seconds of Ian and Nina and I was LITERALLY GIDDY WITH THE LOOKS AND THE FACES AND THE UNSPOKEN WORDS. And Paul/Ian are HI-LARIOUS. BROTHERS INDEED. I think that Matt Davis is high. I AM SO SMILEY RIGHT NOW.

I agree with your Harry Potter comments re. March Madness. It seems to me like the whole voting process is going to be a complete waste of time. They might as well announce Hermione as the winner now and be done with it. Which is a shame...

I am steering clear of spoilers re. TVD so I haven't read the rest of your post. Though, to be honest, TVD is far low on my 'must watch' list at the moment that it probably doesn't really matter... maybe I should just spoil myself and be done with it?!!

I'm hoping that people realize that having HP in the bracket makes for an unfair fight and then combine to support someone else. If I can vote against Hermione (and I intend to, eventually), other people certainly can.

I'd sort of like to start avoiding TVD spoilers, but I have very little willpower when it comes to episode stills. I'm sorry TVD is falling in your esteem! I'm afraid I'm still as enamoured as ever. I will eagerly await the rekindling of your love. Til then, I won't spoil you.

1. PALEYFEST \o/ I haven't seen the cast interviews or anything but they're been photosets all over tumblr about it and EVERYONE IS ADORBS. CANDICE IS THE MOST ADORBS. And apparently Ian and Paul were drunk. I r amused

2. Caroline losings makes me saaaaaaad :( Last year she was against Tami Taylor and Tami won and now it's Veronica and that is just unfaaaaaaair. I mean, Veronica is actually my forever girl in ways Caroline isn't but I still put my vote for Caroline because wow unfair matchup.

I feel you on Hermione. I LOVE HERMIONE. And I would probably still vote for Hermione if she was pit against a person I didn't know or didn't like, but bringing in HP is just unfair and CHANGES THE ENTIRE GAME. Part of me wants Hermione to win because I love Hermione but another part of me thinks them even being here is unfair.

4. AHAHAHA I'm also both eager for the flashback episode and vaguely dreading it because I have this Stefan/Damon pre-series headcanon AND SHOW IS GOING TO KILL IT ALL, I BET :|
