I made it to a theater again, yay. I made a New year´s resolution to go to the theater more often and I even booked some plays and made some plans but so far the plans  keep crashing and the plays keep canceling.
My friend bought tickets as a present for her mom´s birthday but her mom was ill and so she remembered her trusty friend and called me. We went to see Nunsense!! , so not a play of my choice, even though I love musicals.lol True to be told I saw this musical 3 times in Brno like 7 years ago but only because my friend played sister Roberta in it. I could compare Brno and Prague version at least. I thought the Brno version was funnier, this Prague version seemed only silly. Plus this version had a new translation so I didn´t even recognized most of the songs. But really, a musical about 5 nuns organizing a benefit doesn´t sound like something artistically uplifting.lol At the end my friend thanked me a lot for going with her, otherwise she would have to take her dad and she was sure he would not survive a play about singing nuns.lol but it was good to dress up a bit on Saturday and go out. We went to a dinner after the play and it turned out to be a nice evening.

And the next day I went to see The Tourist in the cinema. We chose this movie only because there wasn´t anything better and even this didn´t turn out to be that great. I don´t really love Angelina and Depp himself didn´t save the movie. I just didn´t feel any chemistry between them and the story had lots of plot holes. The best thing about the movie was Venice. It looked so pretty. One day I will go there, I´m just waiting for the right guy to go there with.:-)

And last week I saw 127 hours with James Franco and I thought it was an interesting movie. Even though it was a movie about a guy being stuck under a rock and thus almost the whole movie was shot in one place, it didn´t bore me. I liked the beginning where he was running in the canyon. The nature was beautiful. Also loved the scene where they jumped from the rocks to the water with the girls he had met. It was awesome. Then they parted and bam, a rock fell on him and his arm got stuck under it. Then the frustration started. The situation made me uncomfortable cos I really don´t feel good in closed spaces. And when they showed the air view of the whole canyon and you could see there´s really no way someone would find him,I almost had an anxiety attack.lol And then you just sit and wait to see what he does to get out of this situation. Of course your first idea is that the only option for him is to cut his own arm but you know his tiny knife is dull and it didn´t even cut his skin when he first tried.
But boy, the scene where he tries again and actually succeed is the most disgusting scene EVER. Seriously. And they sure enjoyed showing you this process in detail. I had to cover my eyes and I wasn´t alone. I turned around (I wanted to be sure that I´m not the only chicken.lol) and all girls in the cinema were covering their eyes. So so disgusting. And the music that went with it didn´t help at all. ewww. But it was a good movie.lol
