Jan 01, 2010 21:21

I know, an entry about the previous year on the first day of 2010 may seem nostalgic, but it was a last minute decision:P. Specially made for Justyna clampin (though of course everyone can read it and comment:P), here my list of the books I read and the movies I saw during 2009!( Books! )

2009, books, list, movies

I've started reading Steppenwolf recently, but I will probably not finish it anytime soon. I love Hermann Hesse :)

How did you like Pranzo di Ferragosto? I somehow cannot believe that you got to see it in Argentina.
You got so many interesting films on this list!

Why won't you be finishing it anytime soon? I liked Steppenwolf, but felt that should've read it when I was 15-16 and felt more like the character...now I believe I've got different kind of worries...
I loved Pranzo di Ferragosto! Italian comedies make me feel so...at home!LolxD And I had the chance to see it because- thank God!-we have a very important anual Film Festival in here^__^

Lack of time :/ I miss reading.. And you're right, Hesse is generally more appreciated by people of that age :) I read Siddharta when I was 15 and loved it!
You are so lucky :)

Maybe you should start reading while travelling as I do...you wouldn't imagine how much time you seize that way!
I also read Siddharta whila I was 15^^ And come on, you must have a Film Festival back there in Aberdeen, don't you?

You watched so many movies I haven't even heard of! I'll be trying to see some of them this year ;)

Also, I'm adding a few books from your list to me to-read list this year. I hope they won't be to hard to find in Poland ;)

I'd like to find books by Latin America's writers you mentioned like Mario Vargas Llosa or Luisa Valenzuela. Except for Marquez and Zafon I don't think I know any other spanish writing authors so it'll be exciting to discover others :)
It might be hard to find their works in Polish translation, but I hope I'll manage to find an English one at least :)

Yay for that! What have you read by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Gabo?
I'm positively sure Luisa Valenzuela has been translated to Englih because she has been lving for quite a long time in the States. If you have the luck to find her books, I recommend you "Strange things happen in here" rather than the second one I read...It's a book of short stories very surreal and full of Buenos Aires^^
And can't say anything about Vargas Llosa, except that...he rocks!! Read quite a few books y him (and I'm planning to read some more during this summer holidays) and he never let me down. Long live to him!
