I like the Buddy Holly theme, lol. I wish I'd thought of that! I can never seem to think of anything more original than a Beatle song or something. Cliche. Titles are an art
( ... )
If you're stuck with a story title a Beatles song choices seems to be a fitting choice. I've taken that and use Buddy Holly song titles and it wasn't even my idea. I noticed that dasliebchenkind does that and now I do it. The titles generally fit what's going on in the story. LOL.
Oh, I agree that knowing more about Charlie is necessary. I'm just particular about how much I want to share and want to pace myself with those details. Also, I still don't plan on sharing everything about her.
I'll have to see if I can effectively master showing the other person's thoughts through Ringo or Charlie's point of view. I don't usually do that. So, that might be good for my writing or it could gum up the works on how I tell a story and prolong these chapters even further. HA.
It's a effect tool. I think it's the sort of thing that might help with my creativity. I appreciate the suggestion.
Excuse me, just eavesdropping! I just had to say, yes, you're so right! I think people are almost afraid to write Ringo as as much of a jack-the-lad as the other Beatles, as a man! I read a fan fic a little while ago (which was a bit silly anyway) where the Beatles were kinda passing around girls at a party, all except for Ringo who was 'Oh, no, not for me, thanks,' which felt like such a rip off! I think it's because Ringo is so sweet and sincere, maybe they have trouble picturing him as anything other than blindingly faithful to Maureen. People forget that Ringo was the most popular Beatle with the fans during the 60s, particularly the early 60s, I'm pretty sure that transferred to his fair share of girls too!
Yeah, I also note how Ringo is written as neutered in fan fiction. I'm not saying all fan fiction but a good majority of them he's written in a way that he appears to be above all the shenanigans. Which we all know Ringo had his fair share of birds and did as much carousing as the others. Their relationship with significant others just like his relationship with Maureen (especially at this point and time) was a hiderance. It's easy to fall into the trap of sticking all of them into a neat little box. Ringo is placed into the one where he's this lovable guy who comes off sort in a way that he doesn't have sexual needs and we all know that's not true.
