How often do you have to "status" with your boss?
We have to do it weekly here, and sometimes in my company we end up doing things, just to do them...the "check it off"...not for the true beneficial reason for completing them.

I've worked there 2 1/2 years and I'm on my SIXTH boss, and I haven't changed jobs. Only the first boss was worth a damn (he got promoted).
I couldn't even tell you where the latest guy's office is, but I am sure that he has no clue what I actually do.
I'm ok with a weekly status check; it's the continual indifference that's tiresome.
