i've literally re-read the main story just today and thought 'wouldn't it be nice if there was some sort of timestamp coda to it?' and then there was! clearly it's magic.

I made an embarrassing flaily hand thing when I realized what this was. I know I said (I think I said?) I was totally content to leave them safe and together in their bunk, but. Yeah, this is even better. The only thing that might be better would be, like, the tender hot reunion sex. I love that Ryan cultivates a life outside of Bob and away from who prison made him be, and how devoted Bob is. Of course he loves you, Ryan. Of course he'd come after you! Ugh, my heart! My heart for that stubborn boy! And that kiss! Very hot.

Is Melanie a gauge for Spencer and Jon's reactions to Bob showing up as well?

Also, I love how Frank acts like...well, Frank, but he also seems to be a pretty good don-in-training.

Saw a little typo though. curly read hair in Melanie's description.

I honestly TRIED to get them to sex. It felt...Not right. I wanted to though. I just, yeah. I'm so glad that you caught all the things I put in - about Bob and Ryan and who they've both become and will be. Melanie's more to show that Ryan's been living his life, at least a little more than to speak to the boys' reaction. She's FAR less invested in him than they are so she'll be less...protective. And hey, any excuse for mob!Frank.

I definitely think this suits them as a leaving off place, though! I mean, it's so full of promise and hope (a lot like the ending of the main fic, with the added bonus of being safely out of prison!) that leaving them off there does feel like a really good place. Going back to Ryan's would mean the other guys and immersing more into his life as well, complicating their reunion beyond being their reunion. Especially if Spencer and Jon are going to be protective. Good thing Bob's got a knack for winning people over! ...right?
