((From

To be honest, he wasn't too sure of what he'd agreed to do tonight. But with how crazy everything had been the past several days, he wouldn't have been

Second row, wasn't it? M63...
… Yeah.
Yuffie checked her gait as she turned right, and while she kept her movements effortlessly quiet, she didn't go for total silence. Fun as it'd be to scare the crap out of Okita, she really didn't feel like fending off a volley of ballpoint pens.

Seeing how Guy had specifically set the meeting spot as the door right before the recreational field, he really hadn't expected to see Claude leaning against the wall nearby, as if waiting for him. He wondered if something had happened that had decided to make Claude wait for him, but shoved back any growing panic as he tried to find a more mundane reason. Maybe Claude had just wanted to walk there with him. Their rooms were so close, after all ( ... )

What Zack had to be curious about was why Tifa had asked him specifically to meet up with her tonight. It could have been that she was just taking him up on his rain check, which he certainly didn't have a problem with, but was there some other motive? Something she wanted to talk to him about, maybe? She could have easily asked Cloud or Yuffie, who she knew better, but maybe the two of them were busy with their own plans.
If Cloud was, he hadn't mentioned it. On the other hand, they'd been pretty busy discussing other things, and he hadn't even though to ask the younger man was he was doing with his night.
Hope he's all right. Zack knew that he really didn't need to worry, but after hearing what had happened to Cloud in his absence, he couldn't stop his concern from increasing, at least for the moment. He was sure that he would get over it sooner or later, but for now he felt entitled to it ( ... )

This patient block hardly looked any different than the previous one, which wasn't quite among the more surprising things the institute was able to provide. Scar slowly moved through the hallway into the bigger one, carefully glancing around for any possible threats. He could still navigate well enough without the additional light, but with all that had occurred last night the former lion wasn't too fond of running into anything by himself.
[Hey, hey von Karma~! Come show your dazzling outfit to Scar. :D]

Before long, von Karma arrived at the short corridor leading out of the patient block hallway. It was just as well, for he could ill afford to be late to meet Ms. Taura for their metal-gathering mission.
So intent was he on reaching his destination that he almost didn't see the two faint green lights glowing in the darkness, nearly colliding into the one bearing them.
von Karma swung his flashlight in the direction of the luminescent eyes, confirming the identity of the one who was in his way. Of course. Who else could it be but the foolish feline?
"Mr. Scar," von Karma grumbled in what passed for a greeting. "So very thankful to find that you are well enough tonight to head out and block my path. But what can I expect? All felines do the same thing: they stroll underfoot of everyone," he scoffed.

If it wasn't the ever-so-lovely yet ignorant von Karma. Still acting as pleasantly high and mighty as ever. Hnn, that this mental institute was a fake one didn't mean there weren't any people here suffering from actual delusions.
He realized he was indeed standing in von Karma's way. Well, it was obviously von Karma's own fault for making him stop here, or he would've simply moved on and allowed the poor fool to pass through anyway. But now, Scar decided he wouldn't move an inch just to spite him because he was just that mature.
"And I don't suppose you could have simply -- Oh, I don't know -- move around me rather than shining a light into my face?" the former lion ( ... )

Hmph. Shocking. The uncouth former lion made no move to get out of von Karma's way but instead had the gall to admonish him to step aside. ...As though von Karma would yield to anyone other than a professional superior, let alone this primitive wretch! Ludicrous ( ... )

He was already feeling better, being back out in the open and in action. The hallways were just the right place for him to get back into the swing of things- especially after having been down for the count for most of the day. How long was I out for, anyway? he asked himself as he lit a cigarette- his first since just before the leech attack the night before.
A shudder ripped through him at the thought.
Taking a drag, Matt hurried along. He didn't know how much of the night he'd missed already, and Mello was likely to be pissed- or worried.
Or both.
Not sure he knew which one he preferred just yet, so Matt resolved to get his ass in gear.
