Wand in the back waistband of his trousers, and torch in hand, Severus cautiously opened the door to his room. He heard voices and peered down the hallway. There was a small group conversing a few doors down from his, another man walking away in one direction, and at least one other person coming out of one of the other doors just beyond the group.
Information and escape. He needed to check in with...the thought of Albus gave him a pained pause, but he pushed all thoughts away quickly. Concentrate. He knew he needed to get to Hogwarts, but to do that he needed to find out where he was, and what in Merlin's name "Landel's" was.
Severus scowled, and looked to his right. One more door like his, and then a perpendicular hallway. But no people, and people had information. It looked like he was going to have to be, Merlin forbid, social. He let his scowl linger a few seconds more before wiping his face blank of anything but lingering wariness; then cautiously approached the group a few doors to his left.
