((From

Kira checked the grip on his sword and slipped the map from his pocket, the flashlight making it all very awkward. The pharmacy ... it was to the east of where they were, provided this place didn't shift unnaturally when people needed to go somewhere. He

Thankfully, it appeared that the monsters were light tonight (or, like many of the patients this evening, were taking their time as they got into position). Celes closed the door of the nurse's station stairwell behind her quietly, closing her eyes a moment to concentrate on the minute noises of the Institute. She was met with silence and the dull, far-off noises of someone down below in the sun room, the echo ghosting down the hall.
Well, that wasn't where she was headed this evening, having turned her mental map upside down and inside out several times. Before her, lay the corridor that seemed to house poor, broken prisoners (if not broken now, then they would be soon), giant arachnids, and locks. Oh, to be a thief; she would have to make due with her own strength.
Again, Celes took off in a run down the corridor, hoping that she reached her destination before something else did.

Moving onward, then, into territory unfamiliar to him as well.

Well, of all the best laid plans, Celes chewed the inside of her cheek in frustration as she glowered at the door. Getting this body cart down the stairs would be troublesome. Especially if some idiot decided they wanted to run up and into her.
Unfortunately, there was little choice. Celes kicked off along and let the cart coast to the door of the stairwell. "Down we go."

A soft banging of metal against flesh indicated more trouble for Kunzite and his flashlight. Eventually, a slow flicker emerged from the proper end, and while not ideal, it would suffice. He walked up alongside Edgeworth and Javert, slipping out his notebook and scanning over the map carefully.
"The rooms are not far from here," Kunzite noted, pointing his flashlight in their general direction. "According to the legend you provided me, Mr. Edgeworth, they would be locked. Do you have a plan for breaking into them?"

The commotion and the fact that they were getting close led to more of a rumbling from the voice and another sharp stab of pain. He breathed through it. We're almost there. Don't worry.
"The question is really what will happen once we've done so. I'm prepared for a fight, if need be, but I'd rather avoid it if we can help it. If we can pin down the experimental doctor and interrogate them, that will prove just as useful as anything else tonight."

That said, if there was worse than just a doctor waiting behind those doors...He glanced down at the saber in his hand. He was more than a little opposed to unnecessary violence on his part, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it might very well come to that. Who knew what Landel could be thinking?

Chise stopped for a moment to catch her breath. Those stairs were nearly as bad as walking up Hell Hill to school! Her face stung when she ran into that wall beside the staircase. A few tears trickled down her cheeks. At least being clumsy was solid evidence that Chise was still...Chise.
She shined her flashlight around the area checking for any potential threats. It turned out that this hallway was empty as well. She hoped that she was traveling in the right direction. She sat down against the wall and started to rest while breathing heavily. Her eyes were still red from crying earlier.
