Day 37: Intercom, Noon
The Head Doctor's voice came on clear as a bell just after the intercom's cheery jingle.
"Hello, everyone, and I'm here to announce quite a filling meal coming up - that's right, hamburgers and hot dogs! All 100% beef, of course, with cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles... the works, all available for you to pick and choose from. For the hot dogs, we also have chili and relish available. Yum! As sides, we'll be serving french fries, onion rings, and cole slaw; of course, our salad bar is always open and available with fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts."
He paused for a second, as if afraid that he'd gone too far in using the word "nuts." He continued quickly thereafter:
"Anyway, not the healthiest of meals, but certainly a tasty one! We have a few more patients coming in this shift, and I'm sure you'll treat them all very well! That's it for now, I believe... I'll be speaking to you again soon!"
The intercom clicked off.
