from hereMomo headed down what she suspected was the center street for the town. She noted the various businesses as she walked, as well as the increased staff presence, and kept to herself. If she was going to be wandering around lost in her own thoughts, she might as well get a feel for the town

It wasn't until Luke hit Main Street did he fully grasp the situation. In other words, he woke up.
"... Wait, where the hell is everyone?!"
Not only was he wearing weird clothes (they were so stiff and they didn't even fit right!), but he was in a weird place. It looked like a town, with sidewalks and everything, except there were the occasional horseless... carriage (some kind of fontech?) and none of the shops were familiar to Luke at all ( ... )

Danny had been walking right behind a red-haired guy when he decided to shout something out. Unsure of what to make of it, he walked up to him, standing silently for a bit before quietly uttering a, "Uhhhhh..."
"Everyone's here," he said, trying to sound like he knew for sure except he really didn't know where here was. "It's a field trip outside...where have you been for the whole bus ride?" Despite the snarky comment, he actually didn't sound all that mean.
"And come to think of it...food doesn't sound so bad either." The muffin and apple juice had barely been sustaining. After all, it was only a muffin.

Danny stepped back again before the redhead noticed him and ran off down the Main Street, sighing as he managed to escape.
[Half-assed escape to go here. Bad planning on my part, sorry. -_-]

Huh? Luke thought he heard someone answer his question, but when he turned behind him, there was no one there.
Like... Like he had been spoken to by a ghost or something.
"..." Not wanting to entertain the idea that there were creatures hidden in the broad daylight of this town, Luke quickly composed himself. Well, if he was going to look for everyone, he decided not to do it on an empty stomach. If there was something up with this place, he wanted to be ready for it.

Sasuke managed to convince his nurse that he didn't need his hand held or shoulder touched in order to sense his way around town -- he could follow her footsteps just fine. It might have been a bit difficult discerning them from others in the area, but he could just look at it as training.
He'd asked her to find Aidou or Naruto first, but she hadn't spotted either and told him that he should "try to find some new friends today!" before pressing a booklet into his hand.
After learning what facials and manicures were, he concluded that his first stop would necessarily have to be this 'Callahan's.' If the patients could communicate through some board there, he could try to get rid of the useless coupons.

That seemed to be the question of the day. Standing there on the sidewalk without security pressed around him or a limo idling at the cornre was suddenly disarming. It was one of those things he hadn't done in years. Suddenly here he was, out in public without anyone around him. There was no shotgun at his side or other weapon concealed on him.
It made him feel very small.
The urge to go hunt down Reno was put down quickly. Reno deserved time off more than anyone. He wasn't going to consider Schuldig. The telepath had made his view clear. Taking a deep breath, he looked up and down the street.
"What now?" he muttered to himself. There had to be something to figure out how to help them all instead of standing here like a fool.

His vision dipped and swayed on him before righting, whatever mild flu he had still insisting on hanging on. It was the flu. It had to be. It couldn't be something more sinister or terrible. That thought was quickly put away before he let himself get more than a glimpse of it.
"Are you all right?" he asked, polite when circumstances called for it.

She smiled all-too-brightly at him. "I'm fine! I just got a little distracted..." She cast a glance back at the bookstore, then looked back up at the man. He had a fairly handsome face, and some good manners, at least. He had to be a patient, right? Good-looking men usually didn't live in backwater towns like this, she thought.
Well! That bookstore wasn't going anywhere. Might as well see what she could get out of this guy in the meantime!
"Um... have you seen a post office or anything like that around here?" Probably not, but it was worth asking! If she was really lucky, then maybe she could rope him into helping her out.

After just the short time at Landel's, it felt strange to walk so openly in a town. At least she didn't have a nurse at her side constantly.
Relena took note of different shops as she walked, thinking Duo might want to be around if she got a manicure at some point today. Not for the laugh factor - unless Heero decided to get one too - but for the different tools the manicurist would use.
Up ahead, she noticed another greenspace. She hoped it would be as nice as the other one.

Ugh. The town center was absolutely swarming with staff. As many patients as there were, it seemed like the staff contrived to match their number. She wondered if new nurses were plucked out of the aether as easily as the patients seemed to be. And whether it was actually easy.
Signum altered her path to take her away from highest concentrations of staff. The packet of coupons they'd been issued didn't have much buying power, anyway. Some time in relative solitude would be the most she could hope for from this trip, though she was sure the staff would keep her from wandering too far.
