from here Elphaba pushed open the door, allowing it to softly whoosh inward. The door did not open into a corridor, it seemed, but rather a large room. She clicked on her torch, more sure of the movement this time, but was still startled when the light immediately flooded out of the mirrored end. The room seemed to be a row of sinks, and across from them were a series of closets. Catching her reflection briefly in the mirror, Elphaba was momentarily angry at the face she saw in the mirror, a face so familiar and yet unlike her own. She pushed open the door to one of the closets, and saw a toilet sitting in the middle of the floor. It appeared she was in a bathroom, though this one was bigger by far than any of the ones at Shiz, which usually contained a single toilet, and a lock for the door.
A spacious lavatory? The fact that she'd taken her time in the halls and had yet to come across a single guard? The more she thought about it, the less this kind of information gelled with the information she'd received from her informants about Southstairs.
