[Barging in from here.]Tsuzuki stumbled into the room after breaking down the door. It took a few seconds to right himself again, otherwise he would have tumbled to the floor from the excess momentum. And that would have been embarrassing ( Read more... )

Without wasting any time, Hisoka followed after, carefully glancing around the room as he stepped inside. The moment he did so the boy wished he hadn't, finding himself once again in darkness that seemed even more impenetrable than the rest. Were there no windows in this damn place?!

The shinigami swallowed back the few dozen curses that came to mind, once again reminding himself it was just dark. That was all. Nothing terrible or anything like it... But what lay in the dark, silent and waiting... ... ... He wasn't going to think of this now.

Roughly shoving these thoughts aside, Hisoka walked beside Tsuzukiand frowned slightly.

"It should be somewhere in here..."

Tsuzuki shone the flashlight around the room quickly. Not a careful scan, but just enough to make sure nothing was coming at them in the darkness. The room looked really crammed, what with the large filing cabinets, but nothing seemed to be moving.

"In these?" the shinigami asked, moving to the metal cabinets and tugging on the closest one, only to find that it wouldn't open no matter how hard he pulled. "I think they're locked..."

Hisoka fought back the urge to kick the cabinets in frustration as he wordlessly walked over to peer at the lock. This only proved to solidify Tsuzuki's claims and did nothing for the boy's quickly shortening temper.

Could nothing go right here, for once?!

The boy sighed, glaring daggers at the cabinets which smugly sat in place as if daring him to do something. Sleep was not one of the options. Without thinking, Hisoka backed away and swung the metal bar down on the stupid filing cabinet, feeling a bit of frustration seep out of him at the loud bang of the bar hitting the metal.

...So perhaps that wasn't the wisest thing to do right now, but the shinigami was angry and tired. Never a good combination when things were beginning to go wrong.

Tsuzuki could tell that Hisoka wasn't too happy with this new obstacle. In fact, he was quite certain that he should probably move away from the cabinet. Sure enough, he watched Hisoka back up and swing the metal bar at the filing cabinet, wincing at the loud sound it made.

"I don't think beating it in is going to work..." Tsuzuki pointed out, frowning slightly. He was a little worried that something might have heard the loud noises they were making. He didn't like being in this cramped room...

"Maybe we could break off the lock with that bar?" Well, maybe he could, at least. Hisoka probably wasn't strong enough to, being as small as he was. But Tsuzuki at least knew better than to point that out right now.
