The tree is probably resurrected by now. It will be fine. We simply won't leave the cats unattended with the tree any more. The other cats have flirtations with the tree, but never the gusto with which Murphy assails it. Kairo and Azure just like to sleep under it from time to time (the heater vent nearby probably encourages that).

I laughed. It wouldn't be a problem in my household, since I don't put up a tree. I don't care for Christmas much.

PS - have you considered re-naming him? The recent surgery would seem to make it an opportune time. I'm just saying.

He's Murphy. I even gave him my middle name; since he seems to be duplicating the spunk and stubbornness of my youth. He's Mister Murphistofeles (I know the spelling is off...seems appropriate)...the Lord Murphistofeles...Murphuls...my boy, Murphy.
