This was what they'd all been waiting for.
Nash felt a low, seething rage as the group pored over the files. He'd suspected it, but now he knew for sure. There was a group that knew they was bringing them here with the specific intent of turning them into those monsters.
He still couldn't guess why. Wouldn't it be so much easier to simply keep them caged and force the venom on everybody. They were still missing something.
He had another sinking feeling as they looked through the subject files. If the others looked too closely, he suspected, there would be something interesting in the N folder. It was his own fault, though.
He didn't say a word. He didn't want to be the first to speak.

unacceptable.
It was a very good thing that Fawful did not have his microphone turned on, or else the room would have been filled with the sounds of furious, fury-based screaming full of fury coming from the speaker of a robot hidden in the vents.
Right in front of him was the picture of himself, unconscious. They had kidnapped him, done experiments on his body, without consent or... and not only this! No! Not only did they go through all of that... they hadn't even bothered to identify his superior species!
And that was not all! No, through all that, through all he'd been through... they listed him with no abilities! No notes! Not one mention! He had tricked CFP, the American rivals! He had bombed the park, and the monster with it! And he had shot down the copter!
Not. One. Mention. He screamed his throat raw at the screen, then screamed some more. This would not stand. This was not to be tolerated. This ( ... )

He was already formulating the code in his mind.
The F's... Fletcher was there. When his file was opened, he was angry for another reason. That was his son, photographed unconscious. It made him want to tear somebody's throat out.

She ignored it though, going up to the closest person she could find, "Hey, what's going on, I heard something big was going down."

Pixie fluttered around before she noticed she had company with her. "Oh shoot, I forgot Kitten was with me!" Pixie chided herself, bringing cute baby dragons to superhero things was totally not the right thing to do, "Well... it doesn't seem to dangerous, what's up Pete?"

He spoke almost immediately, a little out of breath. "What is it - what's up?"

The sniper was focused though and moved through the group towards one of the computers, "What's going on? Megan left me a note about the Healer's being in trouble.

He came in, and saw people hovering around the computers. He made his way through to look over someone's shoulder. They were looking through a myriad of profiles, complete with pictures of those present prone on an examining table. While at that point, someone was looking at a profile of someone with a name nowhere near his own, he needed to see what the file showed about himself. Not the least of which is which name they had used.
He glanced over to Hawkeye. "I'm not sure. It would appear that someone has brought together a lot of information about us. The healers are probably included."

He went straight to the Team Science headquarters, such as it was. He didn't go often, but he did when the need arose. He did have that errand to do for Luis, though. He could do that while he was there.
As soon as he entered, he scanned the crowed for his father. He knew he'd be towering over most of the others there, the tall old bastard.

Their father was here. He was still in Manhattan. He was alive. But why had he hidden for so long? Was he in trouble? And why was he just now revealing himself? He came to the same conclusion as Russel, that something big had happened.
An old colleague from work... Something had reminded him of his old work, is all Fletcher could gather from that. But he didn't know a lot about what had gone on in the fifth laboratory in Central. So he couldn't figure out anything further than that. It was the second paragraph that had made the boy's blood run cold. He'd noticed others using "birds" as a code for the Healers. That post of his father's had gone one step further, encrypted it even more, if his assumption was correct. But if it was...
...will surely die. He tried to think of why that would be, or if it was another piece of code, but it couldn't be. He knew Nash Tringham ( ... )

It was about time, anyway. This time, he wouldn't run if they approached him. But telling them everything would be pointless. Sooner or later, somebody in this room was going to have to make an announcement, just to get everybody on the same page.

As he continued to look through the files, his attention was drawn to a folder labeled DSN_A_TEST_REPORT, a huge DNA sequence with accompanying amino acid translation. "For use in creating Stage 3 subjects in Project Daisychain," the report read. So, it was the crab's virus.
"A completely artificially engineered virus?" Bill said out loud with horrified awe, to no one in particular. "That's some intense technology," he added, muttering, still looking over every page of the code, as if some secret would jump out at him from the jumble of T, C, G, and A's.

It was a weapons development program.
"Bill, I'll tell you something. I always thought that nuclear weapons were the worst people were going to come up with. Always thought that there'd be some wall of human decency stopping us, like poisoning the earth and blowing it up was the worst we'd allow ourselves to do. I guess in terms of scale, this'd be a step down, but...well, yeah. They're weaponizing people without their consent, and that black box is a remote control like we figured."
On top of that, there was the dim ache in the back of his mind that was asking about exactly how this DFT whatever they had worked, but that wasn't important at the moment ( ... )

...huh, now that was interesting. Pointing at the computer screen with a claw, "Take a look at the subjects listed as 'DRT Malfunction (Lost).' Everyone listed as such are people that have gone missing. And... there's a few listed as 'Present (Reclaimed).' That's got to mean something."
Zidane was one of them. Something about that name got the bozak thinking.
"...if I remember right, this Zidane went missing, and came back recently, saying he'd gone home." He went into the S folder, bringing up Slith's file.
It listed him as "Present."
Well, shit. That hope was dashed.
