The now-orange rodent whipped open the door using his tail. He had to give this Raichu tail its due, it was quite the useful body part. He carried some bags of food. Since the Crabs bit the Murkrow Pika had been hanging around here, lending what help he could while the Murkrow stayed in bed. There weren't any Pokemon Centers, and he did not know a healer for the boy. He thought Yellow might but he also didn't want to see her like... well, this.

"{Hey, I got more food!}" The Raichu called out as he closed the door with his hind leg before he walked over to put the groceries down on the most convenient flat surface. "{Anyone home?}" He felt somewhat responsible for this, he wasn't strong enough to protect the Murkrow, this was his own fault. Also if he didn't help out, where would he go, he didn't want to go back to Bryant Park like he was right now. Maybe because it wasn't a real Thunderstone it wouldn't last and he'd go back to being himself.

He hoped.

Balthier was far from convinced by the boy's claims. Cooro had barely moved out of bed, seemed to be running a fever, and, though the sky pirate had only caught glimpses of it, seemed to be coughing up blood. Hardly signs of a healthy young boy. From what Balthier had heard over the network, the symptoms were similar to those shown by people infected with a crab bite, but it was moving too fast for that, wasn't it?

There was something about all of this that just didn't sit right with him.

Balthier looked up as he heard the door open and headed toward the front door. It seemed they had a visitor, albeit one whose appearance he wasn't quite expecting. Well, at least he brought food with him. Better that than to leave the boy alone in the apartment.

"I assume you're looking for Cooro?" Balthier asked, nodding his head in the direction of the bedroom. "Just that way."

As Pika called out into the apartment, Cooro jumped slightly, waking up from his light dozing. It took him a moment to realise who it was - Cooro rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and tried to sit up a little more. He liked getting visited by Pika, and appreciated everything the rodent had done for him - especially taking up Cooro’s duties to get the food for the house. The anima still felt guilty that he had not managed to bring the food home the day he’d gotten bitten, and even more so for all the days after that. Balthier had asked him to do one thing for the household, and he couldn’t even do that without getting in trouble. Then again, if he couldn’t get out of bed, he supposed that Balthier didn’t mind, what with Pika filling in and everything. He would have to do something for Pika when he was feeling a little better ( ... )

Pika pointed his long whip-like tail at the bag of food for the apartment. He did what he could, but putting things away was harder now. His paws were less dexterous, he was a bit heavier and stronger so he was worried he might break something climbing around. A silly worry, he wasn't that much bigger than he used to be, but a worry none the less.

He wandered over to check on the Murkrow boy named Cooro. "{Hey,}" He offered, and sat down near the bed, "{You feeling better?}" It was a wasted question, he could tell it wasn't getting better. Maybe Cooro was Pokemon enough Yellow could- no, can't talk to Yellow yet. Pika just sat by the bed, Cooro seemed odd, smiling but it didn't feel right. However, smiles were a good sign so Pika said nothing.
