Sado stood silently at the entrance, staring into the abyss. He'd already secured his protective gear like they'd practiced, ensuring he could breath smoothly through the protective mask, and that the mask would not overly obstruct his vision. The rest of his skin was likewise covered in protective clothing, with the sole exception of his right arm. If the poison could penetrate the armor protecting that, he doubted anything would protect them.

Hefting the sledgehammer that had become his constant companion over one shoulder, the teenager keep his gaze focused on the dark depths beneath Manhattan, and the secrets they concealed.

It was time to make a difference for the people in this city, to pay the debt he owed all it contained. He had been brought here with a purpose, now was the time to find out what that was.

Bobby had found some heavier clothing to wear. Diego had said he wanted them to dress for protection, so he had grabbed some sturdier jeans and a jacket to wear over his regular shirt. It was a little hot in the spring weather, but it would be worth it if it protected him from any noxious gases. On his back was strapped a heavy wooden stave he'd discovered in a martial arts dojo. It wasn't as heavy as the ones he had used on Zadaa but he hoped it would be enough.

He was a little nervous about how effective they would be on the new super crabs, but he would cross that bridge when he came to it.

The last thing he did as he drew closer was put on the gas mask. It was a little annoying, but definitely better than nothing. "Hey," he said upon approaching the entrance and seeing the team was gathering. He hoped that by being casual that hew as concealing his true nerves.

Pulling up the zipper on the extra jacket she had decided to wear, Ziva walked towards the small group of people assembling outside of one of the subway stations. A gas mask was slung over her shoulder, as she had been instructed to bring one, and she was quickly pulling on some leather gloves she had found in some store. She wasn't taking any chances with this mission.

All of her weapons were hidden, her guns and knives no where to be found visually, but in her hand she kept one of her trusty pieces of rebar that had saved her skin multiple times in the city. She wanted to look as casual...as innocent and naive as possible...just in case anyone besides her fellow investigators were watching.

"Hello everyone." She said, taking a moment to fix the braid she had put her hair in as she walked up to the group. She'd take time to scope them out as they all assembled.

"Affirmative," Spock confirmed after Godot's voice crackled over the radio, taking a quick glance around the point of origination. As yet, he was the only arrival, though that could be attributed to his early departure from his resting area.

Spock ruminated on the identity of his teammates. He was not visually acquainted with any but one, and two he had briefly conversed with over the network journal. Unfortunately, brief encounters of that nature did not allow for Spock to assess their combat skills or their possible resistance to injury. He supposed that he would discover their abilities in time. This was, after all, a potentially dangerous mission.

It had occurred to him that he would be forced to take a creature's life if his own teammates' safety were called into the balance, a thought that he did not approve of. It was due to this contingency that Spock was carrying a long, metal pipe, hopefully enough to subdue, and not kill, any potential conflicts that emerged along the way.

Prier usually wasn't usually early for things, but somehow she found herself at the meeting place a lot more on time than she was used to. Then again, maybe being restless lately had something to do with it. At least she wasn't the first one here. That would have just been plain weird. She might've thought Spock's appearance a bit odd at one point, but now she didn't give it much thought. She'd met WAY stranger people here ( ... )

A man dressed in dark fatigues approached the other in his group silently - working in groups wasn't usually his thing. Too much hassle, too many different conflicting viewpoints - he found out from that past that most people would feel strangely guilty making difficult decisions. But he was an assassin by nature - his one goal was and always had been to get the job done. And even though Armando wasn't a paying customer, Kincaid still felt the need to accomplish whatever the goal was, doing whatever it was necessary to do that.

The assassin nodded a short greeting to the other two members in his group. Spock, of course, he recognized. The girl he didn't - and though he would have made some comment about her being in the group, he had learned from his current charge that kids weren't always as innocent as they looked.

Still...

"Someone's got a strange sense of humor," he murmured, closing his eyes as he prepared to wait for the rest of the team to show up.

(ooc: If your character from one of the other teams needs a radio contact [Godot, Euphie or Hanagata], have them post in this thread. Put your team name in the subject line for organization. You may write exclusively in dialogue [ie: "SOMEBODY HELP!"] for your radio messages.)It was difficult finding a radio headset that actually fit on his head over his visor. Eventually he'd had to give up and pull one apart enough to make it fit and still put the speaker piece over his mouth ( ... )

One he got answers from both teams, Diego paused for a long drink of coffee.

"Thanks for showing, my little wageworkers. Progress was never made by standing around and talking. Head out whenever you're ready, amigos. And just give me a call if you need any wisdom."

The city maps were ridiculously confusing. Hanagata busied himself checking over the map of the Chelsea Pier area yet again. This work was so far beneath him it wasn't even funny... but that man in the ridiculous visor had a point. Somebody had to do it. And the sooner they figured things out, the sooner he could go back home.

Assuming there was a home to return to.

Euphie had the subway map of the Manhattan open, studying the lines of their rather messy transit carefully. It was almost similar to back home which made things a bit easier to decipher, which she was rather grateful for.

There was only so much she could do with staring at the map without anyone needing info and put it back down on the table. Sitting back into the sofa, she let out a soundless sigh, mentally wishing both teams doing the actual work the best of luck.

(OTL I thought I posted this last week already)
