Were her friends here at all? The possibility that they might not be was beginning to occur to her. She missed Simon, rather terribly, and though everyone had been so kind to her -- so kind! -- she had to admit it still hurt to be apart from him and the rest of the Gurren Brigade.
Blinking, Nia realized that her wandering had lead her into a kitchen area, and that someone else was already in it! She tilted her head at the other girl. Well, she looked about her own age... and she was cooking! Nia took a few steps closer and peered into the bowl, smiling at Naminé.
"Hello!" She eyed the contents of the bowl, and the ingredients strewn around the counter. "What are you making?"

"Cookies," she said, still a little bashful but not enough to make her go quiet. "I thought...maybe some people would like to have some."

"Oh, really? That is such a wonderful idea!" She exclaimed, scooting around the counter to stand next to Naminé. "Um, do you want any help? I am the Gurren Brigade's official chef!!" She offered enthusiastically.

"W-well...you could add that stuff to the dough while I'm kneading it?" she suggested, waving a dough-covered hand at a box of raisins, a bag of M&Ms, a bag of marshmallows, a bag of peanut butter chips and a small box of candy intriguingly named 'Red Hots', all laid out on the counter next to her. In Naminé's opinion, there could never be too much of a good thing.
