Oh goodness, that is so sad. The vain longing of Ianto's life at this point, the dreams and hopes, so very sad. So clearly and heartbreakingly told.
That is the one episode of series 1 that I missed, unfortunately, considering how pivotal it was to the character of Ianto. Reading the stories based on it, like this, makes me even sorrier that I chose that night not to set the recorder.
