I love the last picture. Blanche appears to be thinking "WTF, Rossini is killing things and I'm not?".

My tree will probably be the first thing that gets positioned in my new flat, once it comes down from the attic. (Real trees are not for me, I would have pine needles all over my house all year round if I attempted it.)

Alas, the little tree from the entry is defunct :(. (I don't think the cats have anything to do with this, at least I don't hope so!)
I don't think I will have a tree, real or fake that it be, as I'll be leaving for Germany before Yule and returning after NY's, so I just decorated the place with the usual lights and stuff.

The cats don't have anything to do with the tree's death? I could have sworn I remembered an entry you made about the cats mauling the tree and you putting it somewhere and giving it a bit of TLC in the hope that it would recoverer... Did I just make that up?

oh it did recover from THAT ordeal. It died on me later, apparently without motive :(((

I remember that.

I'm glad Luckie doesn't attack any Christmas decorations, except a few of the lights on the windows, which she seems to think are great for rubbing against. (Everything is a comb or brush to a cat.) She also leaves my few plants alone; instead she goes in the guinea pigs' cage and eats their greens if she is in the mood. The other day I saw her jump in and steal some spinach.
