Rossini is slowly retiring from the world. I've been to the vet again with him, but she said that there isn't really anything she can do. The foot injury seems healed, but Rossini does not seem able to walk normally any more, he just stumbles and drags himself, well he did, as of yesterday he doesn't get out of the travel carrier, which he elected

Oh my dear friend, this breaks my heart. It is truly the worst part of having 4-legged fuzzy family members. Because anybody who says they are not has never had the experience or worse, has no heart at all.
I know you've been through this before as I have and the hurt is so heavy and deep.

I'm so very sorry..he sounds as though he's been such a great cat and a real companion. I wish you could keep him for another fifteen years. *hugs*

Oh, poor Rossini. :-( You have obviously been very lucky to have each other all this time. I hope his remaining time is as kind on both of you as it can be. :-(
