Ah! I have to be out of town. :( I was really looking forward to the Peter Pan watchalong. :( You'll have to show extra Hook love for me.
The flats are cute but if I'm going to pay that much, I want them to be UNMISTAKABLY Disney villain related. The front/tops of those shows just look like cool colors. (Not that they're not awesome, I just ....yeah...that's a lot of money for shoes.) *says the girl who shops pretty exclusively at Payless*
The article was very interesting. And it occured to me in my youth that the hero rarely kills the villain...even when they need to be killed. Like Scar, Frollo, etc. And now that I think about it...my favorite princes/heros are the ones who actually did the killing of their villains - Eric * Phillip. Interesting....
Yay! I just finished playing through the Neverland portion of Ven's story, so I have this fresh in my mind. :) If anyone is annoyed with you and me bringing up Kingdom Hearts during these things, please say so. Though on the other hand, perhaps we could watch the cutscenes with Kingdom Hearts villains during one of these watchalongs...
I know, right? I can't remember any family movie in recent memory where the hero dispatches the villain with his or her own hands; nothing but Disney Villain Deaths as far as the eye can see!
Well, in Shrek, the dragon eats Farquaad after Shrek signals her; Summoning Bigger Fish may not be directly killing the villain, but at least he didn't fall off something.
Ratcliffe: Shan Yu, I'm serious, you need to start eating better. This is why your eyes are yellow. Shan Yu: Really? You're going to bring this up now. At work in front of all these kids?! Ratcliffe: Don't argue and just eat this.
The shoes look really cute, but it's a shame they're so expensive. In general I really wish Disney villain merchandise was as reasonably priced and accessible to consumers as Disney princess merchandise is. Not to say I'm not happy for Disney princess fans, but I just wish us villain fans had even a quarter of as much to drool over in stores as they do.
