I'm currently reading Adrift on the Haunted Seas: The Best Short Stories of William Hope Hodgson and have The Collected Stories of Vernor Vinge next up in my stack of books to read. I've found myself preferring short story anthologies to novels these days. I'm not really sure why but I just haven't had the patience of late to bother with full ( Read more... )

I read that Hodgson anthology, and liked it quite a bit.

Not sure if I've read that particular set of Vinge...have read a good bit of his stuff, though, and liked almost all of it (Rainbow's End was pretty boring, though).

Supposedly the Collected Stories includes almost all his published short fiction up to the book's publication in 2001. It's a fairly thick book. It includes "Original Sin" which I recall you mentioning a while back. At least I think it was you.
