In case you haven't noticed, the illustrated Pirates of the Caribbean swag, from the stickers to the comics, and everything in between, are universally hideous. Some are better than others, but that's not really saying much. I've made it a challenge for myself to see if I could do better, but first I had to poke a little fun at his Lordship's expense. First I have some scans from two of the colouring books in which he makes an appearance: Davey Jones' Curse and The Final Showdown. Davey Jones' Curse isn't so bad, but in The Final Showdown he's made to look like a geriatric leprechaun. And afterwards are some doodles, and my attempt at one-upping the art.
Since you can't have guns pointing at people, Elizabeth uses something else. God, I almost laughed myself to tears with the way she's accusingly pointing towards him.
You wouldn't guess it, but that's Norrington back there. I suppose the artist skipped this part of the movie.
Gaze ye upon him and despair! Yech...
Nice chin and forehead action he's got going there. And by nice, I mean saddening.
"And when you're done with that, I'll whine about how my grandkids never call!"
Uh, I'm not much better at hands, actually.
And some mroe of Maraca Time, because Beckett commands it!
