The swirly one is fun - I like the one that's come out heart-shaped, too.
We have collected gold and glass ornaments for a while now - so the tree looks quite 'themed' even though a lot of the decorations make us go 'That's the one D gave me... that's one of the ones we got in Hexham... that one came from York...' and so on.
The arty ones were fun! By about lunch time tomorrow I'll feel as if I've never been away; I'll probably have just about finished replying to all the voice mail messages by then...
Oh, I like your tree! that's very elegant. And lovely decorations, too. The graveyard is very restful. And your bear reminds me that I meant to take pics of my own Best Christmas Present this year -- a collectible bear called Mitzi...
The gold and glass ornaments have been collected over the past fifteen or so years, and the assorted red and gold baubles - I must say I do like the end result - but we still keep getting ornaments that we like - so it does tend towards the cluttered!
One of my favourite things isn't in the photos - it is a big glass vase filled with spare red and gold baubles and a set of coloured lights, that sits on the hearth.
I was really happy with that second churchyard picture - I simply turned, thought 'That really is a lovely view' and snapped.
Small and grey and fluffy, um. I'll post a pic sometime, because she really made me very happy. (I'd gone to a Christmas craft market with a couple of friends and had seen the stall of collectible bears and cooed over them all and this one in particular and some length, and had eventually decided I couldn't really justify spending that much on myself when I was meant to be buying Christmas presents for other people. So when I opened my present from said friends and Mitzi tumbled out...)
I have to admit I took a few of the pictures especially so that I could play with them. I think a couple might make festive icons for next year. The row of angels on the mantelpiece were this year's new decoration - we usually get one new thing a year.
