For fromheavencame

Two weeks had passed since Leonard had become like... this. He was still trying to get used to the stares, the whispers. She was still trying to get used to it. She'd even snapped out to a few of them to call her Leona and get the hell on with it. If she was stuck like this, she wasn't going to let it change things too much for her on the ( Read more... )

Gabriel had been quieter about how he felt about it all, at least when it came to talking about it. It was however pretty obvious how he felt. No, he didn't like it. At all. He wanted his fiance back, properly at least, because even though Leona, as others called her, was still his fiance, essentially speaking, acting the same and all, it still wasn't the same. He refused too to call her Leona, sticking to Leo or Leonard even, because something else just didn't feel right ( ... )

Leona changed into a shirt she wore when in her male form, an old t-shirt from 'her' days at Ole Miss. It came down to her knees now, so underneath she wore simple regulation panties. She was always so warm in bed, but knew she needed to wear something these days.

She said nothing as Gabriel slid into bed, laying there on her back, slowly licking her lips. In fact, she was silent for a good ten minutes, just listening to his breathing as she kept her own steady.

"Miss bein' so close when we sleep," she whispered quietly. Usually, one of them held the other and that was that. But now... now the bed felt so large, so empty.

He'd almost fallen asleep by the time she said something, and had been happy to do so. He'd have probably moved closer in his sleep anyway; but as he dozed she spoke, and his eyes flew open again. He gulped.

"Oh, uh, right...I do too," he mumbled in reply, cheeks starting to heat up as panic rose throughout him, because what was he to do? He couldn't exactly let that slide by, so he had to do something.

He moved, awkwardly, to his side, and the hesitantly put an arm around her; though kept it above the covers to not be too invasive; and gently pulled her a bit closer. Generally, he was the one held, too.

"Y'don't hafta hold me if you don't want," she whispered, closing her eyes tightly as they watered. They never held each other over the covers. Always melding together like they just fit.

"I know you've been takin' on more nights so we don't share th' bed."
