What a shock...Prince was the soundtrack of my youth. "Purple Rain" blew me away. As an actor Prince was curiously passive, but when he got onstage: OMG!!

This is a video from the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame the year he was inducted. His guitar solo starts at 3:20. Prince is just fucking amazing.  Timothy Omundsun posted this on Twitter yesterday.

I've watched this several times the last two days. I love the big grin on George Harrison's son's face at 4:48. I heard that Eric Clapton was once asked what it's like to be the greatest guitarist in the world and he answered "I don't know, ask Prince."
