I am going to build a shrine to Steven Moffat.
Seriously.
The bloke is a genius and I love him to bits.
That was the first ever Who episode that has had been gaping at the screen in a mixture of shock, disbelief and amazement. That is the first ever Who episode that made me bounce up and down in anticipation and excitement, and it was the first ever

Personally, I don't think Donna's bit was like HN/FoB, it wasn't really a happy domestic scene, because there were so many things wrong, and I love that sort of thing because it's really creepy. CT just excelled herself in this, the bit where her children disappear was completely heartbreaking.
I think if Doctor/River had been given more screentime they would have more chemistry. But since it was mostly running for their lives and checking to see if their friends have turned into skeletons or not, I suppose they didn't really have much time to have chemistry.
But you know what the best bit was? The Doctor snapping his fingers and the TARDIS opening and closing. YOU KNOW THAT'S HOW YOU OPEN A 40TT PROPERLY, HE JUST NEVER KNEW.
I know, 900 years of travelling and he never thought to try snapping his fingers to open the TARDIS! *shakes head despairingly* :)

I thought that about the housewife thing at first, but then when she's says "I've been dieting!" I just thought that was so Donna.
A lot of their screen time was spent by River trying to establish the Doctor's trust, so when he meets her again he'll immediately trust her and there will be more chemistry.
Hehe, he probably could have saved a few regenerations if he'd known that! :)

That is the very reason why I love Donna, and why, out of all the companions, she is so perfect for him.

The writing of the episode was mind blowing, it was so much better than I thought it was going to be it completly blew me away. I was stunned watching it, I'm convinced that Moffat is in fact a genus and should write a movie, I'd go see it just because he wrote it.
Cats acting in it was stunning as well, whebn the children dissapeared it had me close to tears.

Martha = good character, crap storyline
Rose = Mary Sue who practically the entire fandom has an obsession with. But I won't go into that.
(There will be a sniper on the roof witing for me as well)
Moffat's writing is always incredible, and makes me wish I could write as cleverly as him. And I too would go and see a movie if he wrote it.
CT was wonderful this episode, it seems she gets better and better as the series progresses.

While Miss Evangelista's face was the most shocking moment, I think this was the worst. It's every parent's worst nightmare, and with what happened to Madeleine McCann... That moment hit hard, even for those of us with no children. It was just horrible, as you say.

Me, too. I honestly don't understand the hate for that character. Is it just because she seems to be a real long term love of his who is not Rose? Because I'm a huge Doctor/Rose shipper, and I still thought River Song was awesome.
And then she walks away and he can’t call her - that’s the bit I almost cried on.
You *almost* cried? Dude, that set me off blubbering for the whole rest of the episode. The cat actually came in from the other room to check on me :). And, like you said, I don't do that with my TV shows. I very rarely even do that with movies or books.
So, yeah, fantastic episode. Stephen Moffat rocks my world.

It's nice to hear from a Doctor/Rose shipper who doesn't automatically hate every other potential love interest for the Doctor.

Ah yes, but I have a heart of stone :) No, seiously, I have only ever cried over one film in my entire life. :)

Definitely my favourite episode of the series so far... :)
