Thanks so much to everyone who commented on the last post.

The new journal is sgalvin <- because I'm terribly uncreative. (Truth, I don't entirely feel comfortable being known by alias... which is strange, I know, but that's me for you. Besides I don't even know how I came up with 'crystaldesire' in the first place, and it certainly doesn't really fit me ( Read more... )

Oh, and I was amused to learn that you and I both use Kate Winslet as avatars for Kitty Pryde...

Of course, yours are much nicer than mine. I still only know how to re-size.

Icon-making takes a little while to sort out how to do everything that you want to do (not to mention the potential to do everything else that you didn't know you wanted to do!) -- it took me 2 years to figure out the proper way to re-size and crop, and even now I still haven't figured out how to use text properly in them. :)

(And, oh dear, going into an icon lecture... -_-;;)

But seriously, with icons, you just have to have FUN (and not care what other people think). But if you ever need a hand with anything, shout out. I'm more than happy to help out.

Which reminds me, I have a few more colouring tutorials to post. Oops. Lol!

Anyway, I figure for the most part I'll stick to my writing and worship the icon-makers who make stuff and when they take requests, I'll make requests.

I like tutorials.

However, in the case of you, I am in awe that you can both write and create the icons. ;)

Lol. Fair enough. (And if you ever want an icon made, poke me, because I'm forever in your debt ;) )

I wouldn't say I'm very good at writing them (bad at description, I am), but hey. :D 'Tis good to spread the icon love!
