<3 Glad you liked it - and yeah, the real horror of this to me is that once again, Ed has made a sacrifice without quite being prepared for the consequences >.> It's easy to say "take me instead of my brother". Harder to have to go on actively living with that choice.

Cryo - Do I sense a touch of Poppy Z. Brite in your work?

That was AMAZINGLY good. Loved it. Specially the end.

Er - first you'll have to enlighten me as to whom Poppy Z. Brite is XD;;; I guess that's a job for google XD

Thanks though! Glad you liked it.

*thinks how to explain*

If you like the sort of stuff above - Go get the Poppy Z. Brite book "Drawing Blood". It is exactly like the sort of stuff you wrote above, including with two beautiful gay boys. It's not fantasy, its USUALLY in the fiction section but sometimes gets nudged over to horror.

I'd recommend amazoning it, as book stores rarely carry her work.

I bet you would LOVE Poppy Z. Brite.

Oh. **shivers** That was beautifully executed. The amount of confussion in Alfons is endearing and heartbreaking at the same time. And Ed is just so Ed, that it really hurts.

Exellent work, though considering the morning I've had, I hope you didn't give my UE any weird ideas. ;P

There's two ghosts in this house. Or possibly one with a split personality disorder. The one in the kitchen is useful, my mother swears it turns off the stove when she forgets to (which is often) and I might be inclined to believe her, since the house isn't on fire. Yet.

The one in my room is an irritated piece of shit that enjoys giving me an ulcer when it notices I'm not nearly neurotic enough. From flinging my keys all the way to the top of my bookshelves to throwing my clean clothes to the floor while I'm taking a shower to basically fucking up everything it can. I call it ED in Spanish, for "Entidad Desconocida", UE in English, "Unknown Entity."

But he's generally just a motherfucker BITCH which I'm going to exorcise one of this days.

XD

Wow. Creepy. Love the last line, too. You continue to amaze me with the different ways you manage to tell your stories. Really great. I also like that Alfons as a ghost is more domineering than he was in life, ordering Ed around. Also, very nice details that with Alfons partially in control, he can actually be startled by his own touch.

Thanks :) Yeah, I figure Sadafons is a corrupted spirit, kind of like the hungry ghosts of myth - it has no idea how to deal with what it wants, and the sad part is that nothing is really likely to fulfill its needs completely.

Wow. Oh golly. It's been a good week for me. I love this Owned Ed, trying to navigate between a force he can't really fend off, and one that he can't really protect. I like the tightrope walk between submission and defiance, because he can't really give in to Alfons without losing himself, and he can't hope to save Al without giving in. Ed's truly fucked.

My mind keeps skipping forward to how Alfons deals with Al, who is still this interloper, and yet hurting Al hurts Ed, and Alfons doesn't want to hurt Ed. I see him somehow trying to rationalize Al's existence, and try to shoehorn Al into some Alfons acceptable purpose.

Glad you liked it :) I kind of thought when I was writing this "gee, I wonder if vel will like this fic" XD

And yeah, I think Alfons lets Al live because if nothing else, Al is what Alfons is holding over Ed's head here XD; I would like to think that Ed's native will is strong enough to fight off the possession eventually, but he won't as long as he's worried about Al...

This is so agonizing, considering that typically you portray Alfons in the most positive of lights. ( Not to mention Edward's devotion/attachment to him even when you write him as deceased. )

I can really grasp that Edward, realistically, has simply accepted Alfon's passing and the 'not belonging'/not being his original self as easily as he had done with Sloth in the series. So I can completely see this as being an accurate side of him.

However...I'm somehow rooting for Alfons' continued existance and mellowing from the initiatial desperation-driven persona of vengefulness.
