Martha was silent as she and the Doctor made their way to the vineyards in the growing darkness. There were so many questions she wanted to ask - most of them pertaining to Donna - but she didn't know how to word them. And then there was the problem of the Master. Martha was rather less than enthused to discover his presence here, and she knew that she and the Doctor differed widely on the subject. He was quite possibly the only person Martha would rejoice to see dead - and to the Doctor, he was the only other Time Lord remaining. Except...he'd mentioned something about another Time lord, hadn't he? She filed that knowledge away under the list of things to ask about later.
Right now, though, she was tired and dirty and sweaty and she really hoped this place would have more clothes, because she certainly hadn't brought any extras with her. And, more importantly, she was concerned about Donna and the woman with her. In a place like this, wandering off was never a good idea. (Of course, she knew that wouldn't stop the Doctor from doing it, but she would cross that bridge when she came to it.) She'd learnt that lesson the hard way in Wonderland, when she and Sam were looking for the Doctor and she'd been stabbed in the arm by the Master's slightly erroneous directions.
Though, on the bright side, she'd been at the castle for several hours and hadn't managed to get injured yet, which she considered to be a definite improvement over Wonderland; she still had the magical burn mark on her palm, shaped like an uncurling fern frond, well over a year later - and it still hadn't healed. She only hoped that what had incapacitated Donna and Edie wasn't magical in nature; she wasn't good at handling magic. (Actually, right now, she wasn't in any shape to deal with much of anything, and she found herself wishing she'd brought one of the shovels along for self-defence.
As they neared the location given, Martha started looking around in the darkness. The only illumination was the pale moonlight casting a silver glov over everything - but the place still looked deserted. "Do you see them?" she asked. Maybe the Doctor had better night vision than she did.
