Hardly two minutes after he'd received Tony's message, Reid reached the bar. Since his adventure with Morgana he'd done little but read, trying to concentrate on the words and ignore the bottle of Dilaudid he'd been unable to make himself throw away after all. It was still there, right now, sitting in a bathroom drawer. As if hiding it would make it disappear, he thought bitterly.
Surveying the drinks selection, Reid winced at a sudden pain in his head and used one hand to probe delicately around the edges of a small forehead wound. Honestly, drinking with a mild concussion was probably an awful idea. Alcohol blurs the senses, and masks symptoms that could indicate medical complications, part of his mind recited. Reid rolled his eyes, wishing he could just turn his nagging brain off. Ah, this would do nicely. He zeroed in on a bottle of Sambuca and began to pour.
