Beautiful. This is powerful stuff her, very nice work.
V really does deserve more fandom love.

I think it's nice that you incorporated the baby story line that everyone is so afraid of, but instead of making a big, dramatic deal out of it (like the writers would obvs do), you just had her deal with it the way V would: quietly.
I'm very impressed.

I feel like it's very easy to hate a character when the majority of the fandom does. But despite the fact that she's apparently "awful", people can't seem to put their fingers on why they hate her.
Ugh, poor V. ♥
Anyway, very good read, you deserve any and all praise.

You know what I found amusing? That last week's episode, which was pretty V-centric, had the highest ratings since last November. It made me happy. People may claim openly to hate her, but I think deep down inside everyone's got a bit of a V-supporter in them. I really hope people start cutting her some slack. She is a good character, gosh.

ok, let me first say that after the CV storyline i became a vanessa hater too [at first i was just indifferent]so initially i wasnt going to read this. but i'm glad i did, because i like how you've gotten into her head space, shown her thought process, assessed her feelings. this kind of vanessa i could grow to sympathise with [though i'm not sure i could ever really like her]. but i personally think the writers have ruined her character by rushing her into storylines and making her more or less a couple-breaker. maybe if they had taken a different path with her, given her her own storyline, i wldnt feel the same way i feel abt her right now. anyway, just wanted to let you know that u're a good writer - u managed to make a character i dislike not so dislikable - atleast in your story :)

All I can really say to that is: Wow. Thank you so very much! I always like hearing when people branch out and read my fics even though they don't particularly like the character or the pairing (I have a Chuck/Jenny fic as well that took people by surprise). Vanessa does tend to get the bad end of the plot lines on the show, which was why I was determined to right a positive fic about her. She's so spunky in the books; I just wish she had a little bit more of that spunk on the show. So I did what I could. -shrugs- I'm glad you enjoyed the fic!

And Vanessa should be loved! It makes me so sad that she's so hated. Just because she's not a flashy as the other girls does not mean that she can be treated awfully. She's amazing.

And hee hee. I'm glad you caught that about Chuck. :D That's always bothered me as well. He's human. Well, as far as we know, and he's fully capable of making mistakes. I'm fully convinced that he already has illegitimate babies running around out there. haha. I mean, Hugh Hefner does and he's totally old.

OMG Wow. That was... beautiful. I had just stumbled upon a very anti-V fic, and went to the CV LJ to wash the stain off and I saw this. This did it wonderfully. I've always been sort of indifferent to her, but I came to really like her in the last ep because you could really see where she was coming from.

I wish/hope the writers could portray her as well as you did in the next few episodes, maybe then people wouldn't hate her so much. All the bashing kinda makes me sad esp after the Chuck thing.
