I'm too tired for anything. Last night was hard mentally and today (Dad's birthday) is worse in many ways because OMG not only are some Prodigal Son fans mad about the BLM issues and them addressing police brutality (as it is a police procedural and MANY of the police procedurals are doing the same) they are actively being hateful on the official

I HATE fandom! There's nothing wrong with PS's story-line for JT. It's not that preachy, like it sometimes gets on Law & Order (and its spin-offs) & it'll be interesting to see where it goes. That said, I can understand the frustration as some shows/movies go overboard on the SJW stuff to the point it becomes unwatchable. People watch TV/Movies to escape from reality/everyday life & they don't want it "in your face" in their favorite shows. I think it needs to be done in a way that acknowledges an issue in an organic way without making it the only thing the show is about. They also need to do it in a way that doesn't alter how beloved characters behave as that's a surefire way to get the fans up in arms over it.

I know. It's just awful. I get we want to enjoy ourselves with our shows/movies but some of this needs to address it. I agree with it being done well on PS (Dani's exhaustion about it all when she was talking to Bright). People kinda suck sometimes. Not all of them but those who do sure like to make noise

*nods* I get that, but it needs to be done in way that feels organic to the story and preachy. JT's story feels organic to the show & I hoep it plays out in a way that feels right for the character & the show. I know, right? Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about them. Thankfully, there are good peeps that you can share the love of the fandom with. :D
