Yes 12 pubs is real. It is EXHAUSTING but it is real. I had a manager who went on it every year, and every year was STILL hungover the following Monday (the 12 pubs of Xmas is typically timed for a Friday, and is usually either like a stag do or a work do). It does sometimes crop up on Xmas Eve but you'd want to ask a publican about that. My cousins all do the jump either at the Forty-Foot or Dún Laoghaire or the Waterford equivalent if they go back to Her Family for the Christmas. It's *such* a Thing here that a lot of the ads targeting the diaspora include it:
Just watching the vid - HER ACCENT IS SO WEIRD, seems like she's picked up an American accent with a touch of her Irish accent, oh, man. Nollaig na mBan is Either Little Xmas or Women's Christmas, not both. There's usually a good thread on Irish Twitter each Jan for it

Beginning to think I was Irish in another life....(god knows I'm not this time out, my family apparently took one look at the UK and said nope. There's not one drop of it in my DNA. My brother's wife is half Irish though)

Thanks for the video!! I was going to put them in shorts and sweatshirts but apparently that was too much sanity. I also do polarbear plunges for charity. I was made for Irish Christmas between this and pub crawls.
