It's a struggle

I've been saying for a while now my school is suffering. The truth is all colleges are and covid is making it worse you can see more here.If I were younger, there'd be no question. I'd bail and go back into health care, probably as a PA. That still might happen but I'm in my 50s. I don't want to go back to school. I still owe about a half million ( Read more... )

Karoshi-Man lost another toe recently. He doesn't pay close enough attention to his feet and somehow got a bone infection. Now he only has the last two toes on his left foot. His right foot had Chacote's, and had to be entirely rebuilt. It's a wonder he still has both feet...

Sorry to hear that too. I know I'll eventually lose some of my feet too

God, I hope not. Diabetes is such a nasty disease. As a podiatrist, I'm sure you pay better attention to your feet than K-Man did.

It's a horrible disease. But yes, I pay close attention to my feet. Should have seen me earlier this year (which feels like 10 years ago at this point) when I managed to get second degree burns all over my big toe (scalded it). It's scarred but healed

Can you look into income driven payments for your loans? I did that until I went back to school... and I'll do it again when my loans are due again.

That IS the IBR payments (totals 1200 a month) I DO need to send in that paperwork asap.

Wow that's just... unfair.

I'm gonna look into loan forgiveness, I think.

*hugs* It's hard to remember that to some you have it good, especially when you are struggling. Hang in there. And best of luck to your uncle.

*HUGGLES* I'm sorry about work. Everything has sooo much uncertainty about it it makes day to day things hard. So it's normal to feel this way and I hope you feel better. *huggles*

I hope Lucky Uncle is okay. I also hope you can convince him to move his surgery as close to today as possible. You are sooo right about NOT waiting. I had a doctor's appoint once, because I was coughing & finding it hard to breathe. My parents insisted I call the office back & tell them I couldn't "wait until tomorrow." It's a good thing I listened as I'd have been dead from a severe asthma attack. It was how I got diagnosed with it. Youo're right; it's better to lose a toe than a foot or your life. Good luck on his hopefully sooner rather than later surgery!

Thanks so much. It definitely sucks.

And you're so right. You're lucky you went right in. People don't always take (or don't have the means to take) their health seriously
