since everyone else is doing a year in review, why not?
even though the new year is really just another day, i will be the first person to admit that it is nonetheless a temporal landmark (and therefore a convenient excuse to do what i wished i'd done more in the last year - sit, write, and reflect).

so i've been meaning to come here to talk about my journey around the concept of predestination/'things were meant to be'
but also studying hasn't been going very well so that's an excuse to procrastinate what would probably be a long post

how my views have changed since starting uni
1) it is now expected that you take five or more hours to write an essay, depending on how much reading you've done and whether you just want to submit shit work or an actually reasonable piece. goodbye 1000 words an hour and writing essays from general knowledge ( Read more... ) -

- turning over every single stack of accumulated paper since and for exams
- switching the computer on and off in hopes that a scanned softcopy would somehow miraculously appear

I (kind of) realise how besides-the-point it is to write about how someone is so amazing when you're supposed to be extolling your own virtues, but it's because of them that x and y happened to allow z (presumably my 'outstanding feature'), so how now moo cow.
