[Action for 1332 Benny Road]

[It is 2pm at 1332 Benny Road...and a not-so-new arrival has only just arisen from her slumber...shuffling about the house with a look that is a mixture of "I'm not surprised" and absolute boredom. She has ignored others in the house as she made for the kitchen and began to shuffle about, preparing what other members ( Read more... )

[Meanwhile, Miku is groggily walking downstairs to make herself a glass of leek juice. This goal flies out of her mind when she sees Yuuka and the flowers on the counter.]

...Hi?

[Yuuka does not turn around, but keeps working on her tea diligently, speaking without turning to look at the new arrival.]

Yes, hello child. I am the new mother of your household. I do hope you will behave properly, yes?

[That final statement almost seemed to have some sort of strange undertone to it. Whether or not Miku would pick up on it was anyone's guess.]

[She does, and gulps audibly.]

Um, I will!

[In retrospect, her drone mother, at the very least, didn't scare her that much once she got used to her.]

Good, then this house will be decidedly less noisy for it.

[Yuuka's voice was suddenly quite cheerful, if a bit groggy. She still did not turn around, focusing on her busywork.]

Do you enjoy tea? I seem to recall the young ones in this town enjoyed less traditional beverages.

[Even though Yuuka's tone had become a bit more friendly and inviting...as always there was still something menacing about the woman underneath everything she said. Menacing...and somewhat teasing as well.]

Oh my, my. What a lovely little surprise. You're still here?

I assume by your reply you are still more ill-mannered and stuck-up than a human deserves to be, yes?

I don't know; are you still a murderous lunatic?

I'm not sure.

Can one call a poisonous flower a murderous lunatic? Only someone narrow minded, I would assume.

[The playfulness in Yuuka's voice...it is brain-blowing.]

I've been meaning to ask the same question.

Is that so? Am I to assume you took a vacation as well?

You assume correctly, my friend.

Hmmm, how odd that so many of us appear to be returning at the same time, by the look of it.

Perhaps I am being followed. I never knew I had so many admirers. [The sarcasm in her voice with that last statement is palpable.]

Now that is not a voice I expected to hear today at all.

Even the great Judge has not found a way out in so much time? How sad.

You're making little sense, I've hardly been here any amount of time.

I see, I see. Following others without their knowledge is a bit inconsiderate, you know. I would doubt your judgment is needed here anyway.

[!!! Koishi knows that voice!] Oh, Yuuka! You're back!

Yes, child. I do seem to slightly recall your hopeless optimism.

I do hope you've grown out of it.

Nope, I'm still the same!

Even flowers change with the seasons. Perhaps you should give it a try as well?

It is healthy to try new things, and even more healthy to try dangerous new things.
