Oh wow. That was so perfectly beautiful and so descriptive. The imagery you present is beautiful. I love that Johnny went as Pigeon before. Even though it isn't canon, it fits in with the facade he kept up over time. Thank you for sharing this little gem.

*thinks* Do you think I should change the Pigeon thing? XD Ah well, it was in the English manga, so I figure what the heck!

And thanks! I'm happy you liked it! :D

You shouldn't! It was in the manga? Funny thing, but I tend to look at the Japanese books more than I do the English ones and I don't know a lick of Japanese. So I don't remember. What chapter is it in?

HAHA! I can't remember! I do remember that Barry mentions (whilst holding Rayflo's spinal-cord) that his current name (Johnny Rayflo) is "much better" than when he went by Pigeon (or Pigion I believe was the scanalated version).

And I think in the scanalations when Alford is explaining Rayflo's past he says that back in like the 30's or something he went by the name Pigeon.

LOL. But either way, I sort of just went with it. I'm always nervous to enter into a new fandom. Heh. *sweatdrop*

Ah, I'm glad I saw this and said, you know what, that's for later, when I can really sink into it.

Awesome. And I have to edit to say, you really captured a sense of nostalgia, which is very "in" in the Japanese culture right now. I read it over twice and really enjoyed the images very easily brought to mind.

Not to be a pain but 4th paragraph, line 2, bit of a typo?
"Bending, he captures a remaining (?) and holds it up for inspection in the firelight."

Nice, I'd say you dove in and swam like an olympic pro! ^_^.

I'm good with getting the picture right in people's heads. HAHA. And I think nostalgia is always kind of "in", to be honest. People like that wistful sort of feeling. And I like writing it. :D

Yay for diving in!

*Blush*

I'm SO GLAD you said the characters feel right. My biggest concern is always being in character. You can surely expect more from me in the future! *purr purr*

Yaaay! I am glaaad that you like it. I'm an attention whore at heart, so hearing it's good makes my little heart shine. *giggle*

I have ideas for the pairing to be sure. Though I could REALLY use some prompts. Any ideas? *grin grin*
