This is...Disconcerting, to say the least. The moment she sees something her mind tries to convince her is her mother, Mitsuru knows something is off. There is a brief moment where she feels surprised at what she's feeling from that simple exchange. But then the bizarre nature of the situation only increases from there.

The walk to school, the time in the classroom, none of it makes any sense to her. Part of her goes along with it, accepting these things as fact, but the sterner half of her continues to struggle and protest that this isn't how things work, socially. Shouldn't she have something that puts her above all of this? Or something to focus on outside of that gap between herself and her classmates?

And then the interaction with that classmate happens and...She isn't certain what she's feeling. Something that sits heavily in her stomach, and unrelated to the food she's swallowing.

The rest of the dream passes in a daze, although in the real world Mitsuru continues to turn about in her sleep, still troubled.
