outside of the country and i still watch too much television

after spending an eternity at work cramming for this last minute substitution, i spend my first day in London doing basically nothing. if i had it my way, i would have actually gone out and done shit, but protocol dictates that i sit in boring ass meeting responsible for nothing and contributing nothing. that's a whole lot of nothing in so few ( Read more... )

it might very well be that this show works only because it's based on the short 13 episode system. it is possible that they would have had to put in more filler episodes if it was the standard 24-26 season.

what i'd like to see is the gradual evolution of this show into another genre. now that time travel has helped erica, she needs to go back in time and fix other people.

i just got here on thursday local time. since i was flying out from seattle, i wasted an entire day in the airport and on the plane. literally 24 hours of my life spent on travel.

oh ok gotcha... yeah that is pretty lame, considering the number of timezones you have to cross

sorry, i promise to do less of this in the future. it's just that television is so much a part of my life right now, for both personal and professional reasons, that seeing and sharing the few couple of shows is important to me.

Don't apologize! I don't watch broadcast or cable television ever - how else would I know what's worth watching if I didn't listen to recommendations?

Completely off-topic question - what part of Seattle do you live in, and what do you think of it? We're checking out neighborhoods and I'm looking for a variety of opinions.

i live in a high rise apartment building in belltown. i don't know if i would recommend it; i don't have a car so it's pretty bearable but the parking is expensive and the streets are bizarrely one way, but i am near pikes place which I really enjoy. i pay around 2500 for a 2 bedroom/2 bath.

i'd look sometime at like ballard or capitol hill or maybe ravenna? it depends on where you need to go and how important access to downtown is to you.

Thanks. Yeah, we're not really interested in Belltown; as awesome as Pike's is, everything I've heard about Belltown is pretty bland and low on personality. We're mainly focused on Ballard and Capitol Hill.

(Access to downtown may end up being very important, depending on whether a certain job ends up coming through for me, but it's just a 15 minute bus ride, no transfers, from either Ballard or Cap Hill.)
